ÇàÄêɬµ¼º½ (or BAPS as it was then known) is 69 years old today.
The first meeting of the Association was held on 20th November 1946 at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, under the chairmanship of the then College President Sir Alfred Webb-Johnson.
38 surgeons attended the meeting and the first Council was elected with Sir Harold Gillies sitting as President.
